Reading Group: May day! A look at anarchist history in North America

Tuesday May 15th, 7pm: Writings by Lucy Parsons, Excerpts from Dynamite: Class Violence in America

Sunday May 27th, 3pm:  Excerpts from Sacco and Vanzetti: An Anarchist History

(Texts in English)

Inspired by the traditions of May 1st and the commemoration of our fallen ccomrades, this reading will explore the narratives of notorious and  sometimes forgotten moments in anarchist history. We willbe sharing texts  about events such as the Haymarket Affair, the hanging and context of  Sacco and Vanzetti, the labor struggle(s) of the turn of the century and  the debates (and rifts) of theory and practice that emerged in America in  the mid 1850's onwards.

Texts can be found on the website.

Cercle de lecture :  May day! A look at anarchist history in North America

Mardi le 15 Mai, 19h: Writings by Lucy Parsons, Excerpts from Dynamite: Class Violence in America

Dimanche le 27 Mai, 15h:  Excerpts from Sacco and Vanzetti: An Anarchist History
