On January 23rd, dozens of teachers, students, and members of various universities and unions gathered in front of the James McGill Administration building on the McGill campus for a simultaneous protest and celebration. They were celebrating the McGill's administration withdrawal of a permanent protocol on demonstrations, protests and occupations. They were demonstrating against the continuing provisional protocol, which limits protest on campus and the potential to still make a protocol on these issues. CKUT's Courtney Kirkby spoke with Lillian Radovac, head of the McGill's Teachers Union about the protocol and the public statement they made denoucing it and captured many of the speeches made at the demonstration.
