An increasingly important source of natural gas in North America is the so called shale gas. There is an uncertainty about its the environmental impact and many different arguments around the issue of shale gas.
In March 2011, the Quebec government put all fracturing activity related to shale gas development on hold until a comprehensive environmental review is concluded.
Bernard Saulnier speaks about technical and economic issues on shale gas.He is an engineer who worked at l'Institut de Recherche d'Hydro-Quebec.
