An Afternoon Against Criminalization

Sunday 27th

4pm - H3 screening: H3 dramatises the 1981 hunger strike in the H-Blocks
of Long Kesh Prison in Ireland, at the height of the Republican POWs'
anti-criminalization struggle. (English)

6pm - Dinner break: Pay-what-you-can vegetarian pizza (vegan alternative
available).

7pm - Resisting Criminalization: A short presentation (in English) on the
strengths and weaknesses of the Irish Republican campaign against
criminalization, as well as what (anti-)criminalization means for N.
American anarchists and abolitionists. Followed by a bilingual facilitated
discussion on the topic. Whisper translation will be available.

This is intended as one event with two parts, but if you can only make it
for one of the parts you are still very welcome.

Un après-midi contre la criminalisation

dimanche le 27

16h: projection de H3(en anglais); un film de fiction sur la grève de la
faim des détenus de la prison Maze, en Irlande du Nord,en 1981,au plus
fort du mouvement anti-criminalisation.

18h: souper; contribution volontaire (pizza végétarienne et végétalienne)

19h: résistance à la criminalisation; une courte présentation (en anglais
avec traduction chuchotée vers le français) sur les forces et les
faiblesses de la campagne républicaine irlandaise contre la
criminalisation, et sur la signification de l'(anti)criminalisation pour
les anarchistes et abolitionnistes nord-américains. Suivi d'une discussion
bilingue sur le sujet.
