Knowing the Land is Resistance présente: Marche du Raton Laveur
Montréalais

Point de rencontre à La Belle Époque à 14h, départ à 14h30

À travers un tour guidé et des jeux dans des espaces sauvages et urbain,
nous travaillerons vers une connexion plus forte avec la flore autour de
nous, dans un contexte de résistance au continuel colonialisme et à la
destruction qu'il amène.

Détruisons notre perception des espaces urbains et prenons le temps de
trouver les petites intrusions de la nature. Les espaces vers et oubliés
portent des secrets inspirants sur les mouvements animaliers et les
écosystèmes les plus résistant.

Pour cette atelier, nous focaliserons sur les théories de
«bioremediation». Nous explorerons cinq propriétés qui permettent aux
plantes de décontaminer le sol:

la dégradation, l'extraction,la stimulation microoragnique, la
volatilisation et la stabilisation.

Meet at La Belle Epoque at 2pm, leave for a guided walk at 2:30pm.

Through a guided walk to urban wildspaces and play, we will work towards
building a stronger relationship and connection to the wild spaces around
us, in the context of resisting on-going colonialism and the destruction it
brings.

Let's break the spell of everyday city sights, and instead take time to
seek out and focus on the tiny intricacies of natural patterns. Wild and
forgotten
corners of the city hold hopeful secrets about animal movement and the most
resilient of ecosystems.

For this workshop, we will be focusing on a little bit of the theories
behind bioremediation and digging into the 5 main ways plants can heal
contaminated soil: Degradation, extraction, microorganism stimulation,
volatilization, and stabilization.
