S’engager dans la confection de nos propres sysytèmes d’agriculture sans
illusion romantique sur la nature ou le travail avec ses mains mais plutôt
avec impérative urgente d’établir l’indépendence dont nous avons besoin
pour reprendre le pouvoir de nos communautés locales. L’objectif est de
céer un réseau d’infrastructures à l’échelle de quartier capable
responsable de nos besoins tout en poussant vers la plus grand degré
d’autosuffisance et d’autonomie possible pour nous puissons abandonner,
désosser et détruire le system de profit.
Nous n’avons pas besoin de fermes pour faire pousser de la bouffe.Nous
pouvons le faire dans nos cours ou sur nos toits. Nous pouvons construire
des système aquaponique intérieur DIY. Nous pouvons exproprier els terrain
vague ou propriété abandonné, arracher son asphalte inutile et cultiver le
sol en utilisant de la vermiculture. Il y a plusieurs manières par
lesquelles nous pouvons tenter de sortir de «l’agrobusiness».
Dans cet atelier , nous prendrons l’approche de se mouillier les mains en
construisant un conteneur d’irrigation autosuffisant. tout le matériel
nécessaire sera fourni gratuitement ou à bas prix en ville. L’atelier sera
suivi d’une discussion sur la sécurité alimentaire et notre abileté à
travailler ensemble pour créer une culture autonome consistitué de
structures capable de supporter les communauté en résistance.

SELF-SUFFICIENCY IN THE HEART OF THE CITY WORKSHOP

Endeavoring to grow some of our own food stems not from any romantic
illusion about nature or working with our hands but rather from the
critical imperative to establish the independence we need in order to
re-empower our local communities. The objective is to create a network
of neighborhood-based infrastructure capable of accounting for our needs
in striving for the greatest degree of self-sufficiency and autonomy
possible in order to be able to abandon, and hence gut and destroy, the
profit system.
We don't need farms to start growing food. We can do it in our backyards
or on rooftop gardens. We can build cheap DIY indoor aquaponic systems.
We can expropriate idle or abandoned property, tear up its useless
asphalt and cultivate the soil using vermiculture. There are many ways
to start breaking free from agribusiness.
In this workshop, we will be taking a hands on approach to a DIY
self-watering container system. All requisite materials will be
provided, along with instructions and a guide to where one can procure
these materials either for free or at low cost in the city, followed by
a discussion on food security and how we can work together to create an
autonomous culture consisting of structures that can support communities
in resistance.
