Gêne, 2001. Prétextant qu'une école de la ville sert de refuge pour le
Black Bloc, des centaines de flics y font interruption, alors que
plusieurs militant-e-s s'y reposent. L'épouvantable carnage qui s'en suit
marque à jamais la vie des personnes battues presque à mort et humiliées.
Le film de Carlo A. Bachschmidt s'attarde à la vie, pendant, avant et
après, de 7 de ces arrêté-e-s.
Ce film, une suite d'entrevue révélatrices
et chargées en émotion, se veut une réflexion sur l'oppression, la
brutalité policière et les symptômes post-traumatiques à la suite d'un
événement politique. Sans jamais tomber dans le pathétisme, ce film nous
permet de partager les souvenirs et les réflexions de ces survivant-e-s.
TRIGGER: Les images de ce documentaire ne sont pas en soi graphiques
(exceptées au début du film), mais le contenu des entrevues se veut très
évocateur. Le film sera suivi d'une discussion si les participant-e-s
veulent ventiler, mais le contenu reste en soi violent, difficile à
entendre et troublant.

Genoa 2001. Pretexting that a local school is a black bloc hideout,
hundreds of cops break into it,opposed by many activists. The terrible
carnage that followed stained for life the people who were beat almost to
death and humiliated.
This film from Carlo A. Bachschmidt focuses on the lives before, during
and after those events of 7 of the arrested. It is a series of reveling
interviews,emotionally charged that reflects on oppression, police
brutality and post trauma in the fallout of a political event. Without
falling into melodrama,the film shares stories and reflexions of those
survivors.
TRIGGER: The images are not necessarily graphic(exempt the beginning) but
the topics discussed are very explicit. The screening will be followed by
a discussion if if desired by the people present. Know that the content is
still violent, hard to hear and troubling.
