Artist and educator Andy Williams talks about the sounds he's followed and the sounds that have followed him throughout a very musical life. Williams talks about his thoughts on music and education, with examples from his work in the Montreal school system. He mentions his projects both local and global, and gives us a taste of what to expect in two courses he'll be teaching at McGill's School of Continuing Studies, called the The Diaspora of Jazz, and Jazz & The Civil Rights Movement. He will also be launching another course next Spring, called The Black Oral Tradition: The Culture, Politics and Identy of Hip-Hop.
