Rebel! Rebuild! Rewild! is less than a week away!

by Rebel! Rebuild! Rewild!

Hey, y'all! Have you heard about Rebel! Rebuild! Rewild! It's a three-day festival of revolutionary ecology for nature lovin' radicals. If you wanna fight for the liberation of Mother Earth from the ravages of industrial civilization, we want you to be there!

Rebel! Rebuild! Rewild! is taking place on unceded Algonquin territory from Monday, August 18th to Wednesday, August 20th. It is being timed to be right before the the People's Social Forum, a massive activist convergence happening in Ottawa from August 21-24. If you can get a week off work, you can come to both gatherings.

It's not too late to register. Surf over our website at rebelrebuildrewild.noblogs.org and click on the Register! button.

Our ambition is that this gathering will strengthen the movement for ecological sanity by providing hands-on, skill-based education on how to campaign effectively against the destruction of the natural world. This camp will be fun, meant to nourish the spirit as well as educate the mind. There will be time for hiking, swimming, and enjoying the splendour of the wild. Our belief is that the strength of a social movement is in the relationships that comprise it; therefore cultivating those relationships is a vital part of the revolutionary endeavour. Our hope is that Rebel! Rebuild! Rewild! becomes an annual event.

There will be workshops on direct action, anti-oppression, security culture, decolonization, Indigenous solidarity, and more. Although our program is already quite full, it is not too late to make submissions for workshops, presentations, talks, and skillshares. Please write us to confirm attendance, submit ideas, and help organize at rebelrebuildrewild(at)riseup(dot)net
