Come out to the first of a four part audio production workshop series taking place at the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy:

 

Sunday May 15th  6:30-8pm, 1500 de Maisonneuve, room 404

 

Critical Ear: Gender, Media and the Art of Radio, a radio listening party & discussion.

An introduction to the medium of radio and gender representation on the air.  We will listen to a variety of different styles of radio production and discuss the possibilities of this medium as a tool in changing the way we view gender.  

 

Radio 2110 is a volunteer-run initiative dedicated to amplifying discussions on gender.  

It’s an opportunity for you (and your friends) to learn the basics of radio journalism and get creative with audio production.

Monday May 23rd - Radio Basics: Capturing Content

Learn how to research, interview and most importantly RECORD for radio.  In this workshop you will begin developing a radio piece of your own.

 

Monday May 30th -Radio Basics: Audio Editing

Learn the ins and outs of audio editing software, scripting and narrating.

 

Tuesday June 7th-Radio Basics: Multi-Track and Finishing Touches

Learn how to layer sound, tweak details and upload a podcast.

 

Friday June 10th -Listening Party!
