****Call-Out for an open discussion on organizing against Tar Sands and pipelines in 'Montreal.'****

Pipeline projects are on the way East threatening the lands and furthering colonization. These proposed pipelines will do nothing but increase the colonial genocide that is already taking place against the Athabasca Chipewyan, Cree, and Dene First Nations and will accelerate the destruction of the planet. We definitively need to stand against these projects, against colonization, and against the bankrupting of our children's futures.

Enbridge wants to reach international markets by reversing the flow of the line 9 pipeline that flows from Sarnia, Ontario to Montreal, Quebec, where they will connect it to the Atlantic through the trailbreaker pipeline that runs from Montreal to Portland, Maine through the 'Northeast kingdom' of Vermont. The Enbridge Line 9 project is already poisoning communities along it's route, most especially in the Ojibway Chippewa community of Aamjiwnaang where their community is surrounded by petrochemical refineries in what is colloquially known as “Chemical Valley/Cancer Alley.” Instead of talking about increasing oil flow through this almost 40 year old pipeline to carry over 300 000 Barrels of Oil per day we should be talking about shutting down this already outrageous project, which poisons children and perpetuates genocide against the Ojibway Chippewa people.

The latest proposed TransCanada “Energy East” pipeline will also serve only to open up the international market to the now mostly land locked Tar Sands oil and if permitted will create a precedent for unimaginable increased Tar Sands exploitation. TransCanada wants to retrofit the 55 year old natural gas mainline to carry 1.1 Million Barrels of Bitumen per day! That's larger than any other proposed pipeline project on turtle island today. While TransCanada and Enbridge give the appearance of competition, they are two prongs on the same fork: Capitalist scum seeking to exploit Mother Nature and commit genocide against the Indigenous peoples of the land. They must be stopped at all costs.

We must organize against all pipelines and all colonial projects. We are running out of time.

Come discuss with us how we will organize to defeat these projects.

There is no room for compromise.

There is no option but to win.

We are anti-colonial, anti-capitalist and anti-oppression.
