The Yellow Door Choir Benefit Concert for Rosie Animal Adoptions:

Friday, May 30th and Saturday May 31st at 8:00pm, at the

Unitarian Church of Montreal, 5035 de Maisonneuve Ouest; Vendome metro

The Yellow Door Choir, under the direction of Eleanor Stubley, is a much-loved Montreal institution.

Montrealers know that these are seriously talented choristers with a fun and innovative approach to concert-giving.

This spring’s concert is a tail-waggingly playful and poignant benefit for Rosie Animal Adoptions called It’s a Dog’s Life.

CKUT’s Susan Fitch visited a recent rehearsal and recorded a preview of the event for us.

Let’s listen now to a few musical clips from the show. Then we’ll hear an interview Susan recorded with the concert’s emcee, Montreal humourist and comedienne Kate Conner.

[It's a Dog's Life concert preview and interview]

Earlier we heard The Yellow Door Choir singing excerpts from: “Followed by a Dog”, “Cruella de Ville”, “A Good Dog Is Lost”, and “Give a Dog a Bone”.

That gospel closing number we just heard was called “Don’t Worry”.
