Les Monologues de la maquila / Las costureras de sueños

Que cache la confection d’une paire de jeans? Dans un assemblage scénique qui réunit des artistes du Mexique et du Québec, l’auteure et metteure en scène mexicaine Inti Barrios révèle la dure réalité du travail des femmes dans les usines maquiladoras. En coproduction avec La Couverture magique Productions, avec le soutien du CISO, de la CQCAM, du Maquila Solidarity Network, du Fonds de justice sociale des TCA et du Fonds de justice sociale de l'AFPC.
"Les monologues de la maquila" sera présenté au MAI, Montréal arts interculturels, du 2 au 6 mars 2011 (voir affiche ci-jointe).

The Maquila Monologues / Las costureras de sueños

Behind every garment, there is a story... In a stage production that brings together artists from Mexico and Québec, Mexican author and director Inti Barrios exposes the harsh realities of women's labour in the maquiladoras. Coproduced with The Magic Blanket Productions, with the support of CISO, CQCAM, the Maquila Solidarity Network, CAW Social Justice Fund, and PSAC Social Justice Fund.
