INTRODUCTION TO MAOIST LEXICON, REVOLUTIONARY STRATEGY, AND SELF-UNDERSTANDING
In an effort to improve the political education of Montréal anarchists
and their familiarity with other tendencies antagonistic to the
liberal-democratic state and the current order, this will be a very
quick rundown of the philosophy and revolutionary strategy behind
Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, or just Maoism for short.
There will be a brief discussion, followed by a slightly less brief
presentation (in English), followed by a longer discussion. Specific
elements of the Maoist worldview to be discussed during the
presentation, often with reference to (possible) anarchist counterparts
to the same themes:
* the history that Maoists affirm, the moments they identify
themselves with
* Marxism as a science, and Maoism as the most cutting edge of that
science
* the related conceptions of historical progress and communism's necessity
* non-essentialist applications of the categories "bourgeoisie" and
"proletariat"
* the strategy of protracted people's war
* Maoist critiques of movementist and/or insurrectionalist strategies
* the seizure of state power and its function for the project of
social transformation
DISCLAIMER: this is an anarchist event, and it is taking place at an
anarchist space. Therefore, neither anti-anarchist polemics nor efforts
to recruit individuals to any political party will be tolerated.
There will be at least one more event on Maoism as part of the FAB EST
ET AB HOSTE DOCERI education series, hopefully in February. Contact

INTRODUCTION AUX MAOÏSTES, LEUR LEXIQUE, LEUR STRATÉGIE
RÉVOLUTIONNAIRE, ET LEUR AUTO-COMPRÉHENSION
Dans un effort pour approfondir chez des anarchistes montréalaiSEs la
connaissance et la familiarité avec d'autres tendances en conflit avec
l'État libéral-démocratique et l'ordre actuel, ceci est un rapide survol
de la philosophie et la stratégie du marxisme-léninisme-maoïsme, ou le
maoïsme à court.
Il y aura une brève discussion, une présentation moins brève en suite
(en anglais), et une discussion plus longue après cela. Voici les
éléments spécifiques de la vision du monde maoïste qui seront abordés
pendant la présentation:
* les moments historiques affirmés par des maoïstes, ceux avec
lesquels ils s'identifient
* le marxisme comme une science, et le maoïsme comme la forme la plus
avancée de cela
* les concepts liés du progrès historique et la necessité du communisme
* les applications non-essentialistes des catégories "bourgeoisie" et
"prolétariat"
* la stratégie de la guerre populaire prolongée
* les critiques maoïstes des stratégies mouvementistes et/ou
insurrectionalistes
* la prise du pouvoir de l'État et son utilité pour le projet de la
transformation sociale
DÉSISTEMENT: ceci est un évènement anarchiste, et il se passe à une
espace anarchiste. Par conséquent, ni des polémiques anti-anarchistes ni
des efforts pour recruter des gens pour un parti politique seront tolérés.
Il y aura au moins un évènement de plus à propos du maoïsme dans la
série éducative FAB EST ET AB HOSTE DOCERI, espérons-nous en février.
