Harper “Not Happy” About PMO Conduct: Who to Blame?

Stephen Harper said in a moderately angry speech today “I am not happy about […] the conduct of my own office.”

What to do with all that anger? If only there were a person ultimately responsible for the conduct of the Prime Minister’s Office at whom the Prime Minister could direct his anger…

If only there were a person who had to approve all appointments made to the PMO, a person with full authority to set the direction of the PMO and who was supposed to take responsibility for all of the PMO’s actions…

The Prime Minister is also “not happy” about the Senate expenses debacle. It must be so frustrating for Mr. Harper, whose hands are so obviously tied in this matter. If only there were somebody who could be called to account for the patronage appointment of crooked Conservative Senators, a person who could be held to account for the actions taken by the Conservative Party to whitewash the expenses scandal and to praise Senator Mike Duffy for doing the “right thing” by repaying his bogus expense claims…

If anybody knows of such a person, please let Stephen Harper know who that person is so that the Prime Minister can call for his or her resignation forthwith.
