Quebec's Euthanasia Bill 52 targets disability

Quebec's Euthanasia Bill 52 targets disability

Quebec’s Bill 52 gives doctors in the province the right to lethally inject their patients when they are physically or psychologically suffering. It doesn’t limit euthanasia to terminally ill people. The Bill targets people with disabilities, stating that a person must be in an advanced or irreversible decline in capability. As the Bill doesn’t define end of life, euthanasia will be extended to people with disabilities. The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition came out against Bill 52 in great outrage. This report aired on CKUT's news program Off the Hour on Tuesday, March 4th.
