On Friday, February 7th, McGill students briefly occupied the Faculty Association building in an attempt to disrupt the Petrocultures conference at the university. PETROCULTRES brought together oil industry representatives and environmental NGOs – as well as radical activists from both sides of the oil debate – to discuss the role of oil and energy in shaping social, cultural and political life in Canada at present and in the future. You'll hear from some of the activists who protested the conference.
This segment was aired on Off the Hour, the community-news programming of CKUT 90.3 FM.
