Canada is spending more money on prison construction and the penal system than ever before in this country’s history. Some laws have changed and others have been added: resulting in more beds being filled behind bars. Justin Piché who has a PhD in Sociology will speak to us about the over $3.6 billion being spent by the Harper Government for prison construction and the milliions more in operational and management costs and what it'll mean for people in general.
