Since 2004, in the spring and fall of each year, the pro-life/anti-choice campaign 40 days for life campaigns globally to end legalized abortion.

In Montreal, the campaign has been set up by the Morgentaler clinic near St. Joseph and St. Laurent.  In response to this campaign, and to offer a different message and support to clinic staff and patrons, pro choix/pro choice Montreal has set up beside the group supporting the right to choice.

CKUT spoke with Claudine Jacques about the work pro-choix/pro-choice Montreal is doing and to Sheila Copps about the current state of women's equality and Canada's conditional application of international aid to groups supporting maternal health services and the deprivation of choice that we support internationally, while supporting the right to choice nationally.

This report was originally aired on Off the Hour on CKUT Friday, November 4, 2011, 17h-18h.
