Listen to Jamal Saad's July 2011 interview with Amy Darwish from the Immigrant Workers' Centre regarding the shortcomings of the Canadian government's refugee determination process.

Bill C-4 (a.k.a 'The Human Smuggling Bill'), currently proposed by the Conservative Government, is widely criticized by migrant justice advocates for increasing barriers on people seeking proctection, an internationally-recognized human right, and working to criminalize asylum seekers in Canada.

In this interview, we hear about how the Canadian refugee protection system is more flawed and inaccessible than many of us recognize.
